Nortel Communication Server 1000 5.0 Dialing Plan Design & IP Peer Networking

Kurskode: 0781C
Varighet: 5
Pris: NOK25 000,00

Oversikt

This course is designed for personnel responsible for implementing an IP Peer Network solution for a network that includes multiple Communication Server 1000 systems. IP Peer Networking lets customers distribute system functionality over a Quality of Service (QoS)–managed network. Systems are interconnected by industry standard linking and communication technologies. Interconnected systems work together in the network over IP facilities using direct IP media paths, instead of circuit switching.

IMPORTANT: This course addresses the minimum programming required to implement an IP Peer Network solution on a fully–operational system that is already configured for least cost routing. This course does NOT provide training on how to program Basic Alternate Route Selection/Network Alternate Route Selection (BARS/NARS) features on a new system.

BARS/NARS provisioning requires specialized training and skills for proper design and implementation on a new system and should be limited to qualified personnel. Improper configuration can result in serious technical difficulties potential liability issues

Prerequisite Skills - You must have the prerequisite skills listed below:

• Communicate about telecommunication fundamentals, such as analog and

digital transmissions, Pulse Code Modulation (PCM), Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), and VoIP signaling standards and protocols.

• Use Nortel Technical Publications (NTPs) to locate specific information.

• Identify the hardware and software architecture of Communication Servern1000 systems.

• Demonstrate a knowledge of system access methodology.

• Configure system-, customer-, and individual station-level databases to meet customer specifications, including trunks, routes, and telephones.

• Plan passwords, access restrictions, and other controls to protect system resources from unauthorized use.

• Develop a numbering plan for system resources.

• Apply knowledge of features and services to identify organizational requirements.

• Perform ongoing configuration and management tasks.

• Add, modify and delete system-, customer-, and individual station-level databases, as customer requirements change.

• Interpret printouts and other records to identify the system configuration, station locations, and feature assignments, and service change activity.
