Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Overview
: The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network
Associate) is an entry level certification that supports all
of the career tracks within Cisco's Certification program and
indicates a foundation in knowledge of networking. CCNA certified
professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and
access services for small – medium networks, including but not
limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay,
IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists
Target Audience
This certification is
intended for network administrators and technicians, new to Cisco
products and services, responsible for implementing and managing
small and medium business networks.

Re-certification
CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify,
either pass the current CCNA exam, or pass the ICND2 exam, or pass
any 642 professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding
Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE written
exam.
