Summary: The Cisco
Advanced Unified Communications Specialisation represents the
evolution of the Cisco IP Communications Specialisation. To better
serve partners and customers, this entire product family--in
addition to the specialisation--has transitioned to a "unified
communications" approach. This approach not only describes product
functions more accurately, it also represents our transition from a
solutions-oriented model to a more comprehensive, systems-level
model.
Unified Communications now refers to the entire
product family serves as part of each product name as
well.
The Cisco Advanced Unified Communications
Specialisation recognizes partners for their knowledge and
expertise in selling, designing, installing, and supporting a
comprehensive Unified Communications solution.
To achieve an Advanced Unified Communications
Specialisation, partners must fulfill each defined job role.
Partners must allocate a dedicated individual to each role in the
base specializations. Individuals used for job
roles in base specialisations can also be used for
optional specialisations.

- A partner cannot hold a Express Unified Communications
Specialisation and an Advanced Unified Communications
Specialisation
- If a partner achieves the Advanced Unified Communications
Specialisation before their current IPC Specialisation expires, the
older specialisation will be rendered invalid
